This shield has every square inch covered in relief knot work subtley highlighted to bring out the detail. The outer border encloses a middle band with depictions of a hunt, with a hound pursuing a deer and partridge around the central ring, this ring contain a triple serpent knot picked out in complimentary colours to the hunt scene.
This size shield is light and manoeuvrable an excellent alternative to an off hand dagger.

A fine cavalry sabre of that Napoleonic era again. It’s previous owner had to pawn this fine blade to me as he ran into a little gambling trouble or something similar. Anyway his regimental crest is etched on the blade. The guard is made of brass and the handle is bound in gold cord.
This is a fine horse mans sword.
