| This is a right-handed sabre with
a large outer shell guard (see more images) which has twisted wire inlay
between each lobe. The close up (pictured on the right) gives an excellent view of the inner guard that is decorated with a fine roccoco stylised petal and leaf design. The inner and outer guards are linked with three sweeping bars that conjoin into one before joining the pommel and grip. |
